Well first let me start this story about a week ago. J and I went to an adoption event and saw a pup we were interested in adopting. Of course, puppies are the thing so I wasn't too sure we would adopt this little guy. I have hope but also I am a realist. Fast forward to yesterday, we are fostering to adopt this little pup. We don't know what his mix is but we do see a bit of hound.
His name is Buckley (yeah strange but that's why we like it!). He is about 3 months. I know you are going to ask how is Zeke dealing with him. Well, he is just that...dealing. We are giving him extra lovings so he doesn't think we traded him in. He is still my boy. They always are my boys. Anywho, Buckley goes in to get snipped on the 19th and probably get the cone of shame.
Eventually I will get a picture with both boys but I am not going to push Zeke. When it happens, it happens. He plays well outside with him but in the house, he doesn't want the pup anywhere near him. We will go at Zeke's speed.
So now we have to put up with needle teeth, bad manners and just all around crazy puppy shit. So glad J has a 3 day weekend for MLK. That will help me out so I can walk Zeke and get stuff done around the house.
Well, I will post updates as he gets bigger. It will be interesting what he will look like grown but for now....we are enjoying puppyhood!
A presto!
