Tye Dye Saturday!

 Buongiorno a tutti!

Saturday was pretty low key for me.  John and Chris went off in his SxS to do some exploring and I did some laundry and hung out at camp.  It was too hot to go off and do anything and there isn't much to see on top of this mountain.  No trails or grassy areas to hang out that were shady.  So the boys and I stayed in and they napped and I did a few things around the house.

They arrived back about the time laundry was done and John went off to get us white tshirts for tye dye day in honor of Aunt Glennda.  It was so fun and my fingers are still a nice shade of colors!  hahaha!  I'm not too concerned about it.  Just showed that I had fun!

Today is reunion day at Donna's since the crowd is small but mighty!  Not sure when we will get there since we won't be bringing the dogs with us and our campsite is about 45mins away from the house.  John and I may have to do a trip between to feed and let them out for a bit.  Not sure how we are going to do this but it's ok.  It'll work out somehow.

I'm going to finish my coffee and make us breakfast.

Just a few things...

 Buongiorno a tutti!

Not much to report.  Friday we just cruised around and at night, Lisa got me drunk.  Needless to say, falling asleep was real easy and I am a lightweight.  Still a fun evening!

Saturday, we rode a trail that was close to the lodge and found the WV swing and got our picture on it.  Then took a trail to Walmart.  On the way there, we saw a snake and I thought it was squished but as John drove closer it slithered away.  We got a few pictures of it to show Randy to ask what kind it was.  Well, we found out it was a RATTLER!  OMGosh!  So glad we couldn't get out and check it out but I think John would have told me NO anyways.  So after that and our shopping trip, we went back to camp, fed the dogs and got a quick sandwich and then off to Donna's.  Had some food and chatted for a bit. About 10ish, we left to get back to camp and get the dogs settled in.

This morning, foggy but in the shade, it isn't too bad.  Hoping today we just hang out at camp and spend time with our mutts since we have been leaving them when we go off on the trails.

By the way, I have a gazzilion skeeter bites!  My bite stick is in full use!  I think I need a flame torch though!

West Virginia bound!

Buongiorno dalla West Virginia!

Yesterday started really early...4am! I got some breakfast, coffee (a must) and got the cold foods packed up.  The night before we brought the dry foods and put them in the RV so one less thing to worry about.  After all that, we loaded it all up (us and dogs too) and drove up to the lot.  I put the dinette down for the dogs to relax but we found out that Zeke prefers the floor.  Weird dog.  He used to love riding on the jack knife couch in the Coachman but whatever.  He's 14 and we do everything and anything for him especially now with his boo boo leg.

Anywho, we left the lot at 630am and was riding! The trip was pretty uneventful which is always good!  Ohio was long and WV had a lot of closed lanes with no one working.  He arrived about 4pm.  We only had one pit stop and that was to fuel up the rig and give the boys a potty break (all 3!).

Chris and Lisa had dinner ready for us.  He smoked a pork and we had pulled pork sandwiches with asparagus.  We brought over coleslaw and mac salad as well.  It was pretty hot until the sun went down and it cooled off a bit.  I ended up going to the rig about 9pm to get meds for Zeke and myself.  I crawled into bed about 10ish and passed out.  Today I woke up about 630am and I don't feel like a zombie!

Anywho, today I am  not sure what is going on.  Maybe some riding???  Tomorrow will be all his family stuff  and for the next 2 days.  Still not sure if we will bring the boys on Sunday because of the temperature soaring to the 90s.  I worry about Zeke getting heat stroke.  He's too old to put up with that bullshit.

Well, I am going to finish off my coffee and get some breakfast in my belly!

Wrap up on PA trip

Photos: 2025 PA trip

July 2 - We went to Knoebels Amusement Park.  They have free parking and free admission.  Only thing you pay for is rides and food.  We did do a Haunted ride which was silly but fun.  Stacy and I had funnel cake and John had a huge banana split! This was a huge park!  We thought it was going to be an hour and out but it was pretty impressive! We were there for a few hours.  Afterwards, we had some dinner and sat around the fire.

July 3rd - We left for OH on our way home at this KOA in Lake Milton/Berlin.  It was ok and it was only for one night.  People there by us were very friendly and helpful.  They also had lots chickens, turkeys, a pony, goats, bunnies.  Buckely was very interested!  hahaha

July 4th - Happy 4th of July! Packed up and headed home.  Got stuck watching a parade because we couldn't do the detour (we are too high to go under a bridge, clearance 12 feet). We got home, after the storage lot, about 4pm-ish.

Overall, a great trip and lots of fun! The trails were a challenge but thankfully there was no one with us so the guys could take their time. I couldn't imagine doing these on the weekend where there would be lots of folks.

Next trip is to West Virginia but that's more for the family reunion.  Really not much to do but ride trails that we road already from last time.  Plus they make you wear helmets even though we are in a car and not a SxS.  Dumb rule, WV!

Anywho, everything is cleaned up and tomorrow is back to life.

Catching up on PA camping

 Good morning!

Sunday - We explored the town. We stopped at a liquor store and I asked the ladies where to buy yarn.  Well, we were there talking about good 30 minutes about yarn shops, food, cultural places etc.  They recommended The Heritage for lunch (great Polish food!) and an alpaca farm to get yarn. While driving to this farm, we tried to locate some covered bridges. I couldn't understand the directions so we just went to the farm. I did get 2 skeins of natural yarn!  On the way back to camp, we did see 2 covered bridges.

Monday - We went to the Eastern trail to jeep around. We were there for a few hours and saw a great overlook view. We got back and I rolled one of my yarn. That was a mess!  Haha! We had some rain so we played a game called Just One. We were up until 1am!

So today we are doing the Western trail and celebrating Stacy's birthday! I think we are leaving here on Thursday as well. Not sure what's going on for Wednesday.

Anywho I'm going to finish my coffee and get my day started.
