A Quick Getaway

So here we are in Weidman,  Michian at the KOA.   We got in about 6:30. Didn't do much last night except ate.   Today John is going morning kayaking and I may take the boys for a walk.  It's supposed to be a cooler day with no humidity. 

Impromptu trip???

 Still have this painful wrist thing but hubby is planning a trip for the Labor Day weekend.  Plus he wants to try out Starlink.  Yes, he got it.  He saw it on sale and he invested into it.  

Anywho, I think we may hit a KOA.  Something easy and leveled because I'm a klutz.  Also, there are not many openings at the state parks during the holidays. I guess we will see what will happen come Friday.

Hocking Hills wrap-up

 Overall, a great trip.  I cannot type much but we did a lot of walking and siteseeing.  I had a lot of doubts that I could do as much as I did.  My wrist is still sore and bruised.  

Good Morning!

Soooo....

Sunday morning, I fell and sprained (I think) my wrist.  Needless to say, I didn't go hiking with them.  Just as well. Yesterday, we went to Conkles Hallow and that was pretty cool. Lots of roots, grottos and other nature things.  Today we are doing a guided to tour of old man's cave from 10am-11am and then back to Conkles to do the gorge trail.  The other trail was a rim trail.  

My wrist is still a bit swollen but I just keep forgetting to ice it.  Typing one handed is a challenge but I can do it.  I have learned to adapt throughout my life.  I don't like it but, hey, it is what it is,

Anywho, going to get my icepack and do my morning rituals.

The Hills of Hocking

 Well after getting the solar installed on the rig, we could pack up early and actually leave...on time!  We left the lot around 8:30am +/-, had lunch at Delaware State Park and then a fuel up before resting the rigs at Hocking Hills.  The guys went out and are getting firewood and I finally finished setting up.  The boys have been fed and walked and now I am just enjoying a bit of quiet and sitting still.  No road noise.  Just quiet!  

Not sure what we are doing this week.  Probably a few hiking trails and driving around.  Supposed to be a nice week and not crazy hot.  I guess we will see about that with each day.

Anywho, we are here and probably having burgers for dinner and I know I will have an early night, per usual!
