Buongiorno a tutti!
Well, we have 2 trips booked and ready to go and a couple still in the back burner. But here are the 2 that are set..Port Hope and WV.
Port Hope, Lighthouse campground, is the one we do with Robert and Sheila for a few years now. It's a nice way to start off our camping season. Typically, we do this one solo (without Bill and Stacy) so it is a good way for us to find out what we need for our rig. I do like this campground. There is a trail that we can walk through with birds and wildlife. Plus we have a nice view of the waterfront, if it doesn't rain. This is usually just a weekend trip but it is low key and fun. No agenda.
Twin Hollows, WV, is mostly for his family's reunion. We camped up here last time with his sister, BIL and the Longs too. We did the trails in the SxS and jeeps. What is nice about this campground is that it has access for the trails and it is on top of a mountain. Granted, it takes us about 30/45 minutes to attend any gatherings with his family but it is nice to have the peace and quiet. Plus, this year, we get to camp with Cheddar.....the new pup of Lisa and Chris. That should be fun with our two mutts!
Some ideas for the rest of the season...
- The big trip for John's bday could be Mt Rushmore and that general area. We have the travel guides but we need to get together to make plans and such.
- There's a Batman museum in Indiana that looks like a fun weekend trip
- A Pennsylvania trip for a jeep badge. Not sure when that would be but that's another possibility.
