Let the drinking games begin!

August 13  8:13am

Welcome to Sleepy Hollow.  We arrived on Thursday about 3:30pm.  At the time, I thought it was just going to be us and the 2 Erics.  But come to find out that Brandon, Trish, Cindy, Marty and Jeff were joining us.  WHAT?!  Ok, let me catch up on what happened…

Thursday, we got in and set up per usual.  Our site is 102 and I think the Longs have 104.  So after that, the drinking started.  I know I was going to be in trouble.  My first night I usually hit it the hardest.  Anyway, the Erics came by and brought more wood so the fire started and the party is going.  Brandon and Trish came too.  More fun and mayhem!  I think by that time I was on my 3rd drink and a shot.   The party site is really nice, you will see in the pictures.   It is spacious and private.  Long story short, I ended up drinking too much and my body told me so.  Found out that a 47 year old body will tell you when you made a dumb mistake.  OH well, live and learn.

Friday, we had French toast for breakfast.  Then Bill, Stacy, Brandon, Trish and John went kayaking.   They were gone for a few hours.  The Erics and I stayed at the site.  Wall got his meatball ready for dinner in the crockpot while Cornell played cornhole.  We mostly just sat around and jibber jabber.  I was going to read but that didn’t go as plan!  After every returned home, Cindy, Marty and Jeff arrived about 8pm.  I should have taken a picture of all of us around the campfire but I guess there will be today for that with breakfast, maybe.

Saturday,  well that is where we are at now.  I am pounding away on my laptop writing it all down since the internet is nonexistence here.   I still have to walk Zeke but I wanted to get my coffee in, he wanted to eat too.  It is supposed to rain later today but I guess it is a wait and see thing.

Anyhoo, I will write more later.  Not as much fun as Colorado but at least I can be lazy and not rushed to go and do things.  They all have their special moments.

A presto!
