Yesterday was so fun but yet, so bittersweet. We picked up Nikki and Dakota and went to the Garden of the gods. It was nice to see Nikki! She looks so grown up and trying to do things on her own and figuring it out.
The Garden was pretty amazing. The sun was so hot and Zeke had a hard time keeping cool. I think we were there for a couple of hours. We also saw a horse group ride past us and Zeke did not care. No sniffing or looking. So we had our lunch, got him some water and a chew stick. We dropped the kids off and talked for a bit and said our goodbyes. She hugged me pretty hard and got weepy eyed.
Then we went back to camp and had leftover pulled pork for dinner and met the RVers nextstore to Bill and Stacy. Mike and Heather are from the Carolinas but they have been on the road for a year. They came by and chatted with us for a while. By 10:30, I needed to go to bed since today we are going to Pike's Peak early.
Today we are leaving about 8ish to drive up Pike's Peak. Our Jeeps are all fueled up and ready to go!
Happy 4th of July and thank you to all the service folks who keep us safe.
A presto!
