PIke's Peak

Good morning!  I actually slept in for once on this trip.  No 4:30am for me!

Anywho, yesterday was Pike's Peak. The road up was nice.  It was paved and had a lot of switchbacks.  We got to the top and there were lots to see and read.  I did get their famous donuts.  They were ok plus I had mine smothered in chocolate.  I still like our cider donuts at home.

We did the touristy things, got pictures of landmarks, areas, etc.  Then we went back to camp and had a great 4th of July dinner!  Prime roast, baked potato, asparagus and corn. We played a card game but by then, I was tired.  Being in the sun and at 14,000 feet really can whoop your butt.

Today is kind of a kick back day.  We are going to dinner with a couple of John's co-workers but that's about it.  My kind of day.
